I know its been asked a lot V6 to v8

Unfortunely I can't do a search for v6 to v8 as its too short (hint, hint, fix it!). I have a 95 LT1 + 95 T-56 out of a 95 Trans am going into my 91 3.1 T-5. Now I just want to know how will the wiring harness plug into the firewall? What wires need to be modified? Can I keep my fuel pump? I have a brand new radiator with metal pumps, only 7 months old, can I keep it or do I need a v8 radiator?

What is needed to keep AC? I have the hydraulics and everything for the t56 and know how the tranny swap goes, so no information needed there, got everything I need for that.

I was told you can mount the motor two ways, in the center of the engine bay, or to the rear, if I mount it in the center im told I need to cut something to keep the AC, but if I keep it in the rear what needs to be done if I go that route?

Can I use my old fuel lines? How will vacuum lines be gone about, I imagine they won't be a problem. Radiator hoses? Cooling fan? I know the TPI and TBI v8's came with two, will I be okay running the single v6 fan, its going to be a daily driver. I've already bypassed the old vats system, what will need to be done about the new one?

Im sorry it gets asked so much and if there is a post that explains all this just post the link. Like I said i've done numerous searches and not much information is lying around about the v6 to v8, mostly v8 to lt1 and LS1. (Hint Hint, make a sticky for the v6 to v8 stuff). Thanks guys.

Sure have, but I need to know if most of the swap technical articles will apply to the v6. Like the radiator and the v6 fuel lines, cooling fan and such. As far as the VATs, i'll probably bypass it by splicing that wire to the PCM, if not i'll have someone program it out. Still don't have the engine ti'll next week, just trying to do my homework .

I've read some people still used the radiator & fan. Fuel lines will just need to be made to feed the fuel rail, liek I'm gonna have to do.

Basically, I'm doing the same swap minus 2 cylenders. Gotta love those 4th gen motors

Will I have to route them straight from the tank or can I use the existing ones all the way up to the engine bay?

nice

i didnt have to deal with vats. for the fuel lines, i put in a new sending unit, and ran a completely new fuel line from the tank....i didnt need the new fuel line, but everything else was new, so i figured i should do the fuel line at the same time. I didnt swap the ac over, basically because i got t-tops for a reason, and i love to drive with them out. if i wanted ac, i would of bought a Buick instead
