Fuel pump intall before or motor mount?

Should I install the fuel pump before the engine is in the car? I am worried about the motor mount bolt not having room to slide in. It has been 1 1/2 years since I took them out and I cant recall if they slid in from the front or the rear. If it doesn't matter the nut and a wrench will still fit.

You should have adequete room either way. If it does get in the way it is in an easy spot to remove.

The right-hand motor mount has the nut captivated in the upper shell; and its bolt goes in from the rear.

The left-hand one uses a bolt and a loose nut.

Leave the fuel pump on, it will not be in the way.

In my opinion, the fuel pump is one of the easiest things to install on the engine, why not just leave it off and not have to worry about if it will be in the way? Then you can just put it on after the motor is in. Plus, if you are upgrading to an aftermarket fuel pump, there is a chance that the ports may need to be rotated anyways.
