tbi to carb

has anyone done a tbi to carb swap. i want to do it but i live in califorinia and it has stricked smog laws. i want it where i can swap it back and forth easy. what all would i have to do? like with the electrical stuff?

you need to move to another state so you don't have to swap back to tbi. there would be nothing about it that you'd call easy.

well that suck's i like cali except all the smog law's.

You honestly don't even need a Carb. With the numbers some of the guys on this board are running with TPI (which you should consider swapping to, it's a legal swap for you're 92 TBI), I would definitely stay fuel injected.

But if you have you're heart set on a Carb, just sell you're 92 TBI, and get yourself an 82-87 LG4. The ECM on those cars don't have much say, as far as the quadrajet (by the way, their 750cfm, and can be built pretty well) is concerned.... and you could swap in any sized Chevy small block you'd like, while maintaining you're emission equipment.

I'd honestly stay with the 92 though.....
