how many of u have 383s. i am going to stroke a 350 HO motor and put it in. that mite be a small improvement over my stock 305TPI............LOL

 

here is what i am starting with.... (not this motor but another 350 HO).

 

I JUST BOUGHT IT!!!! (the creat 350 HO that is). it is not a new one, it is in a 80s suberben with 5,000 miles on it, the motor that is. the truck is totaled and the owner sold the hole truck w/ motor for $400.00 !!!! i payed for the tow to my buddies shop. when it is out ill part out the truck for some more $$$$ to stroke it to a 383ci. so what do you think about a 383ci in an 86 ROC :rockon:. i think it's been done befor......... right.

 

Nice dude. I can't wait until the spring swapmeet at my local track to pick up a 350 block and make my 383. Good luck with that man.

im more fond of stroked 400's but yeah if youve never heard of or seen a 383 in a thirdgen you need to come out of the cave

it'll bolt in like any sbc

 

i know there have been 383 sbc motors in 3rd gens i was asking 4 examples or pics like Lock's maro :rockon:...........sorry 4 the unclarety.

 

Just do a search or look at people's signature's. There are plenty of people on the motor swap thread that have done it, so you can pm them.
