LT1 Swap Guide Part 2
LT1 Swap Guide Part 2
Ok, first I want to apologize to everyone for taking so long on this thing. School takes priority and I've been pretty busy the last few weeks. However, I do have the Accessory Mounting section up, I'm almost finished with the Powersteering section, and I've made a few more additions to the Swap Registry. Also for the registry, I went back and added web address for everyone that provided them.
I want to thank everyone that has contributed so far, y'all have been a great help and I couldn't have done this without you. I'll be sure to put everyone that has helped in the "Credits" section once its all finished up.
On another note, once I have everything finished up, I'm going to modify the layout of the site to make it a little smoother for everyone who isn't running high screen resolutions like I am. I didn't realize how lower resolutions play with the layout. I'll take that into account.

No need to apologize man. We all know it gets busy sometimes. I just wanna say that we all appreciate all the time you're putting into the swap guide. And I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed to it. I'll be starting my swap in march, and I'll probably print out the guide to use. Thanks,

I subscribe to the Austin F-Body mailing list and I saw this on there:

It's got a whole bunch of LT1 pics and sensors! Check it out!
Found this one too:

Matt, the second link you posted is incredible. I'll definitely have to link to that. Do you have a better link to the first one? The one you posted was through hotmail and doesn't work.

I think it's great. It shows damn near every sensor on the car!

Ok, school really picked up this semester and I haven't got any work done on the site in the last week. I'm going to put it on hold until after Spring Break for a number of reasons:
-concentrate on school
-get as many photos of my car as I can to help writing the guide
-get all of my wiring diagrams scanned and look them over to be able to explain the wiring system better
-try and get a complete parts list with part numbers and prices together
I know everyone is anxiously awaiting the guide, and I apologize for taking this long on it, but it will be worth the wait. I want this thing to be as accurate and detailed as possible.

Hi everyone, I'm doing an LT1 swap into my 88 Formula, since i sadly seized up the TPI engine...
anyway...I got a 95 F-Body LT1 (since it's supposed to be the best) with the 4L60E. I have a complete pullout (it even has the exhaust manifolds). I've found plenty of info on every part of the swap except for details on the wiring...
I'm going to post this same message somewhere else, but i wanted Texas to know how important the Electrical section on his site would benefit me, along with others.

Sorry man, but thats going to be the last section I do because of how much stuff there is to cover. Do a search in this forum though and you will find a lot about the electrical for this swap.

Believe it or not, everything is here that is necessary for this swap. Even wiring. You need the wiring diagram for your engine and the original to the body of the car it's going into. Then sit down and compare eliminating unecessary and splicing necessary wires. Even when Texas gets the diagram and write up done....there is no way it will cover everything down to the smallest detail for every possible combo but should give everyone enough ammo to get it started. After that...you should be able to figure it out.
