3.1L to 4.3L
3.1L to 4.3L
Got a '91 Firebird, and want some info on a swap...First, How does the 3.1 and 4.3 compare in block size?? Im assuming that I can use the 700R4 tranny...Are manifolds and injectors interchangable between the two?? What is the power potential of the 3.4??
Thanks for your time...

3.1 items such as manifolds etc will not bolt up to a 4.3
The 2.8/3.1/3100/3400 V6's are usually parts interchangeable with each other.
The 4.3 is basically a 5.7 350 with two cylinders whacked off.
700R4 will bolt up to a 4.3 but you might need a different bell housing to make it work.

please specify whether you are talking about the 3.4 or the 4.3. the 3.4 is totally interchangable. the 4.3 is about like putting a 350 in the car....minus two cylinders.
