adding aluminum heads?
i have a L98 350 tuned port i bought a set of trick flow G1 heads my ? is this how much horsepower would i gain just adding it to my stock engine i allready have a ported plenum headers 3" exhaust and many other bolt ons.my other ? is how much of a increase is the compression going to be? the trickflows are 64cc what are the stock L98s?

Your (static) compression will stay the same with the new heads, stock L98 heads have a 64cc chamber. However, aluminum heads transfer heat much better, to the extent that many believe you need another full point of compression to make up for the loss. To be honest, your combo sounds mismatched. Stock compression and stock induction are going to limit your cam options to the 218* (.050) range, and the stock TPI isnt going to be able to support the engine rpms where it could still be making good power. To answer your question, you may gain 30hp with just the better heads, but youre leaving a bunch on the table compared to what a well-matched combo could make.

thanks formularpm i know what your saying im gonna put a good combo together over the next year i just figured since i have these trickflow laying here i would throw them on for the spring and summer and kick some *** on these imports i think 30 horse should do me fine for the summer thanks again.
