Urgent help with the motor mounts please!

I wanna drop the LT1 in by tonight and im running behind thanks to the motor mounts, I got the old ones out using a bunch of extensions and the help of my brother in law.

But I just moved the brake lines and have the new ones ready to go on and now I cannot for the life of me get the nuts to go on the bolts and I don't wanna toy with them because im afraid i'll drop them into the middle of the crossmember.

How can I remove the suspension component holding the springs that is in my way? Is it easy? All I see is 2 bolts put through it but im scared that spring will fly out at me, how do I do this? Thanks.

I accidently posted this in the transmission board, please feel free to delete it there, sorry.

Instead of removing the lower control arms which is a big pain in the ***, just put a piece of masking tape around the head of the bolt and shove it into the socket. It will hold it from falling out, then just go ahead and get it in there the way you took it out. Everyone makes it seem so hard to do, but I had my motor mounts changed in about a half hour, of course that was with no motor in the car, wasn't really all that bad.

I did all my engine mount bolts with a long 15mm wrench and a 15mm flex socket. That's with no engine. A-arms still in place.

The tape trick sounds neat, I use a magnet on a stick to feed the washer and nut into place.
