LS1 vs LS6

Engine: 95 383 CI (6.3) LT1
Transmission: 95 T-56
If your talking an LS6 out of a vette, the oil pans are different and the swap is much harder than doing a ls1. Just buy an LS1 then do the conversion....I think this is even talked about in the stickies, too many repetitive posts =/,

I *THINK* that the only big difference between the LS1 and LS6 are the intake, heads, and cam. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the base engine is the same. So yes, the oil pan should fit. Might wanna wait for someone who's sure to chime in tho.:lala:

Thanks shifty, yea I never said they couldn't and knew you could use a f-body oil pain, but like I said its discussed in the stickies and thier are so many repetitive posts as of late =/.

Actually even the LS1 Vette's have the different oil pan. They did so because in testing for the Vette, which is GMs road racing king, they found that the crank was getting starved in the corners, so they added the wings to accomidate for that.
