car went under the knife last night...
pulled the v6 motor/tranny last night...well this morning at about 4AM! i am freakin' crazy, i know...anyhow, the 310 that was in the white car will make it's way into the new red camaro. i tell you what, the underside of this car had to be the dirtiest i have ever worked on. i have to work the next couple of days but it looks like things will get cleaned up and ready for the motor to be installed on friday(ie fuel system upgrade, motor mounts, etc.). then sunday after church will be dedicated to getting it started and running....here's a teaser pic of the motor still in the white car(before the wreck, it's sitting on my engine stand now)

O, your gonna get a ton of opinions on this
I'll pipe in with this, I really like it when you pop the hood and it's the same color as the car, gives a more finished look IMO. Before I had mine painted last winter I almost thought about pulling my stuff to have it done the same as the car...thought about it for about 2 sec. lol, too much work for a 1/4mi. beater. I did the gloss black thing so if/when I was wrenching if somehting got dropped, dragged, slipped it would be an easy fix. Thankfully the hoods not up unless I'm detailing it, but secretly, I'm wishing I woulda got it squirted the same as the exterior.

the motor is in the car! it's freakin' 3:35 or something like that in the morning....i just dropped it in. i didn't paint anything, i just left it, the car needs a new paint job bad and i will just pull everything back out when i get the funds to paint the car.

got the tranny in and the exhaust installed today/tonight, sounds/runs very well, very strong. i need to get pics badly, but just know that the swap went very well. i am extremely pleased (as exhausted) with how things went. i have a few small thing left to do (put the locker in, ect.) and then it should be done.
