I will move this to the right forum for you. You need to do some heavy mods for this swap to work but it can be done. I would start by reading the sticky's at the top of the page.

Yeah I'm in the process right now and the end is finally in sight.
As far as the motor swap goes, you need different motor mounts and tranny crossmember, which can be purchased at www.thirdgenresource.com You can do the wiring yourself (if so inclined), or send your LS1 harness and old harness to www.Speartech.com and have them mate the two together. You will need some exhaust work done. And you will need to upgrade the fuel system as the LS1 needs around 60 psi.
Theres alot more info on this board about the swap as mentioned before. Also check out the Hybrid section on www.LS1Tech.com theres alot of info on the swap there two.
My "project" is taking me a little longer than most, as there has been some minor but many setbacks. Also the car was totally gutted, so now I'm in the process of acquiring interior pieces to make it totally road worthy.
Good luck on the swap.

You will also need a new tranny as the LS1 doesn't bolt up to theh T5 or TH400
Although i would highly suggest just using the LS1 from the Camaro/Firebird as the Corvette one will not fit because of the oil pan..........
You need a lot of misc parts and pretty much everything from the SBC can't be re-used for the LS1
Any specific questions?

You guys have to realise that the Vette LS1/LS6 has the assessories in diffrerent locations. The Vette has the Alternator on the top where the Camaro/Firebird would have the Power Steering pump. The Vette PS pump is then in a different location. You would have to check for clearance on those before, because I dont know of the clearance of a Vette setup.
