305 - larger engine
hey everyone, I was wondering what kind of engine would be easiest to install and will still give me some good power. I have a 92 RS with the 305 in it and I want to swap it out for at least a 350. I have a budget of about $2,800 just to spend on the engine because I can install myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should get? Thanks in advance!

Easiest - SBC have the same external dimension.. 350/383/400 Good power - Done
Budget - It depends on the parts you pick ..
The 350 HO goes for around 2k

I would take that 2800 bucks and spend it on a full exhuast, upgraded fuel system, suspension stuff, and chip burning stuff. After that your car will be prepped to handle more power. These cars have a tremendous amount of weak links and the first thing to do is adress them before you add any real power.

ShiftyCapone does make a good point.. prep the car for
the futur power.. tho since you're 5L is dead.. got to
start there..
350 cu.in, light flexplate, torque converter , trans upgrade, and rear upgrade.
Then, you save up for the suspension ...
