air cleaner clearance issue

Engine: Stealth Rammed 350
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.45 9 bolt
air cleaner clearance issue
i didnt know if this was the right section to put this in, but since it was the new engine that is causing it not to fit it seemed logical. I put the 355 into the firebird and we bolted the carb on and i woudl say i have maybe 2 inches of clearance from the top of the carb to where i think the hood is going to be. has anyone had this problem and is there a really low profile air cleaner i can get. i have the power bulge hood and i really wanna keep it.

Look for a drop-base air cleaner. IMO, the dual snorkel air cleaner from the 5.0 HO cars is the way to go.
