Is this a good price for a swap????

I called some place in Tampa, Fl about performing a engine swap in my 92 RS. I want the 305 removed and a 350 installed.
He quoted me $3200 but this does not include fuel delivery system, cooling system, or exhaust system. I was wondering if any of my 305 parts could be used; like cooling system. I figured I might use a carb and I would get headers put on and use my exhaust that I have now which is 3.5 flowmaters. Anyway the base price is 3200 and how much do you guys think the unincluded stuff will add up too. They are calling it a premium 350 (brand new)

depending on what you want it's basically r&r a 305 for a 350. that shouldn't be near your quote. if all he quoted was the r&r find another shop.

Well what kind of engine? what is done to it? Brand new, used? There are a billion things that could be figured into the price of your engine that would add/subtract from your quote. I would suggest getting your own engine, building it or have it built, and then do the swap. You could better handle your money and get more bang for you buck.

My friend did an engine swap into his van. Old a$$ ford v8, he got another engine out of an old school caprice, and it only cost him 600 for the installation.
