LT1 Experts...I need some help
I need some help guys, I'm stuck...I cant get spark or the injectors to pulse...I had the pcm programmed and the VATS removed...I put a new optispark on it..Now, I can get the injectors to pulse and the coil to fire...I was testing wires and if I have the test light connected to the positive side of the battery, I was testing the wires that go to the optispark and when i put the tester on the low res. wire the injectors fire and also the coil...It seems to me like something dumb. I double checked all my connections and grounds...I dont know what else to do..
Any Ideas ? It seems like the pcm doesn't know that the engine is trying to start...If that makes any sense..
Thanks, Artie

Is the PCM even powered? You need 2 ignition sources (hot when key is turned) and two constant power sources going to the PCM. Is your coil bad? Wires? Injectors clean? Injectors plugged in? Is the fuel pump priming? Come back with some more info and we'll be happy to help.

The PCM is powered...The coil is good...I have the fuel pump wired to run all the time when the key is on The Injectors have power...The coil has power...Im 99% sure that all the wiring is correct...It just seems like the coil and the injectors are not being triggered when I turn the key to the start position..

Injectors have a ignition source (hot when key is turned) that needs to be spliced, I missed this one also and the injectors did not get any power. Coil should be wired to a hot when key is on source also. I bet you missed those two.
EDIT: both wires should be pink.

What tells the coil WHEN to spark ? My guess is that the opti tells the pcm than the engine is cranking over and sends a signal to the coil to spark ?...Correct ? Everything is getting power where it is supposed to be...It just seems like the pcm doesnt know that the engine is trying to start...Does this make any sense ?

Nothing tells the coil to spark, when you turn the key, the coil is on and the opti distributes its electricity. If your not getting power from the coil, double check your wiring. As far as the injectors, are you positive vats is removed? Thats the only thing I can think of if you dont have them spraying if you say they are powered.
Neither one should effect each other, if the coil were bad the injectors should still be "on", and vice versa. Double check vats, double check your wiring and make sure they are the correct wires and they are going to the "hot when key is on" source, and check your coil if it is faulty.
