Lota talk about V8s but what about the V6?
hello guys
well theres lots of talk about what you can do with v8s on this board including the v6-v8 swap (which i want to make use of since i have a pontiac 350 from my old 76)
but what about mods for us little guys with the 2.8L?
there must be somthing we can do to pull a little extra horses outa these motors?

it runs, but I still have some wiring issues to finish (keeps draining the batt). Needs a new y-pipe made, tags, and (most likely) a tranny rebuild
Numbers are: 200hp & 225tq
a nice improvement over a dead 2.8, and the 3.4 is rated for 160hp & 200tq

I don't see how there would be any clearance issues
with headers on the 4.3L, when my 350 with 1 3/4" headers
clears fine. As far as motor mounts, I don't know. All I know
is that the 4.3L chevy motor has almost the exact dimentions
as a SBC 350, minus 2 cylinders. So, that being said, maybe
the motor mounts for a V8 thirdgen will bolt up fine. Can
anyone clue us in on this?

Thanks for the info. Someone from an S-10 site said that the oil pan would be a problem. It's a 4x4 4.3 with the remote oil cooler, etc...Can anyone else confirm this. I think it will be hard to get an answer from most people here because the 4.3 was never offered for an fbody.
