How do you check oil pressure?

So I'm ready to prime my oil pump but I have one very stupid question.

How do you check the oil pressure?

Where would you find the nessessary spot on the engine that deal with telling the gauge in the car the pressure in your oil system.

This is for a chevy 350 block that is carbed.

Skipping over the necessity, or lack thereof for some, of priming the oil system, there are a few places to plug in a mechanical pressure gauge. The first obvious 2 are the "factory" places, just above the oil filter and the "T" port above the rear china wall, just behind the distributor (this is where I have mine plugged in). The third is up front by the timing cover.
