Something fairly mild, computer friendly, and less than .460" lift.

You did see this part, I presume: "A performance computer calibration is recommended to obtain full advantage of package."

I'd consider using the factory roller cam out of a 350 RamJet crate motor.
It's got short duration and high lift. It's EFI friendly.
Make lots of power and torque for a daily driver.
A good match for the vortec head upgrade. Especialy if you have a low rear gear like 2.73's.
It will fit without cylinder head machining.
Camshaft: 14097395 Roller Tappet Design, Lift .431/.451”, Duration @ .050, .196/.207

You may be able to buy this cam from some of the "performance" GM dealers that sell upgraded crate motors an sell off the stock parts cheap.
Pace chevrolet, Sallee chevrolet etc .
