Which setup?
Allright I am sick of my six banger and found this place here in florida that has great deals on Camaro engines all types.
Now my question is what do you guys think i should put under the hood in place of the little 3.1:
350 TPI Auto
LTI Auto
LS1 Auto
I would have to save up a little more for the LS1. But what do you guys think???

thats a tough 1 because LS1's are nice but you could probly get a 350 TPI and use the left over money you would have spent on the LS1 and use it for performance parts and get that 350 running pretty fast.

You need a lot more than the engine, because basically nothing currently attached to your V6 will work with any of those engines (you can probably use the radiator with the TPI engine, and possibly the in-tank fuel pump - that's about it).
You need everything from the car out of which the engine comes to make it run, as well as the engine and transmission. Other things to consider: 1) who's going to do the work (any of the options would involve substantial labor, with the cost increasing as you go down the choice list); 2) how much over the end value are you willing to spend - all will cost more than the car will be worth when complete, especially if you pay to have the install done; but again, that amount increases as you go down the choice list.

My friends wouldn't eat that much cost. It will cost much more than you think even if you get great deals.
