if u have time its pretty cheap to get a crashed up car and pull off the parts and sell the rest.. engine becomes really cheap then, but its a monsterous amount of work and shippin and stuff

I have an extra LS1/T56 combo for sale. Give me a call on my cell at 802-535-5744

I was going to put it in my 91 RS, but the Formula has gone so far beyond the original plan (not just the engine swap, wanted to beef it up too!) that I don't have the funds to finish the swap into the RS.

Everything is in good condition, I've got some extra goodies for it, motor mounts for 3rd gen, TB, ported heads, etc.

02 LS1 Motor from yahoo auctions (WARNING!!! EBAY AND YAHOO AUCTION SCAMS!!!)
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=204946

Take a read at this thread also, about an Ebay scam on an LS1.

Did you ask Hawks how long it may be until they get a manual in?

Best of luck!

he doesnt know..

and techniclly, im 3rd in line for a manual.

i have a sticky note on my monitor... basicly i talked to him on 12-2-04...... im going to call back on the 13th and ask again... basicly calling every 2 weeks until somthing comes in or i get another trans.

edit:
i read that... the key is to protect yourself..

while paypal offers their own "protection" you're really at their mercy.
i just use my credit card for transfering the funds from my account...

no engine? ok, i call the CC company, get my cash back, and let their lawyers handle the scumbag.

Good luck to you in your search. I really believe you will have a difficult time getting what you want for the price you want to pay. Most LS1/A4 combos sell for higher than that, let alone an M6 which is worth about $700 more. I have nearly that amount into just the 99 engine alone, and more than that in the '01 engine going into my Formula. And yes, I shopped around. That's the thing about LS1 setups - if you want to play, you are gonna pay. Still worth it in my opinoin, however.

Anyway, if you get tired of waiting let me know. My price still stands until someone buys my setup.
