Bleeding Lt1 cooling system

Bleeding Lt1 cooling system
do i bleed the system with the car running or do i bleed the system with the car off

Put coolant in. Start car. Unscrew the bleeder screw near the thermostat housing. Wait ti'll fluid shoots out, close bleeder screw. Done.

Here is a pic. You can see the one bleeder screw in the line there. I am not sure if people include this in their swaps. If they do then they have 2 bleeders.
