My two options for tpi and carb
Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out what would the better choice be since i'm changing my old 305 for a fresh 350. I can either have a 350 put under my tpi or i can have my trans am converted to carb for the same price.I recently moved to chicago so i don't know the emission laws.
Can you guys mention the advantages and disadvantages of keeping the tpi and going carb? I know carb will give me more power and crappy fuel economy and the tpi will keep the car pretty stock which might be required to pass emissions but I don't know the laws in IL. Also, the whole FI system is pretty old and i think even with a fresh engine i would still have issues with some wires and sensors just going bad. Right now i'm looking for a reliable daily driver with some power to it.
What do you guys think?
