85 vett long block in 88 camaro
85 vett long block in 88 camaro
Will the 85 long block bolt right in or will i have to have someone fab me some engine mounts. I know I will have to use my oil pan from my 305 what else is different about this vett motor when compared to the camaro. I have a tbi 305 manual 5 tranmission with no work done. I alot just bought a 88 tpi intake complete harness ecm and all. So the full swap will be a 88 camaro 305 tbi to a 88 tpi intake and a 85 vett longblock. any info will help thanks in advance

The transmission will work, but the flywheel will not.
The TPI won't bolt directly to the '85 heads because the center two base bolts on each side are at a different angle. You'll either need an '85/'86 f-body or Vette base, or elongate those bolt holes so you can get the bolts into the heads.
You'll need a TPI fuel pump in the tank. The TBI pump won't cut it.
22 lb injectors would be all you'll need. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator is always a good idea.

You also can't use the Corvette's exhaust parts. I know thats typically not associated with a 'long block' but I thought I'd throw that in anyway, just incase.
