Swapping 305 TPI for 350 TPI

I've found a 350 TPI block with all of the internals(crankshaft, cam, roller rockers, manifold) for 2,500. It doesn't have any of the externals(manifolds, intake runner, injectors, puleys) Is that a good price? My 305 now as just about 122 xxx miles on her and am wanting more punch when i hit the gas. I know it's a 350 I need because overhauling a 305 would be almost waste of $. Thanks for the help

For $2,500 the 350 better be coming with another car. Any more than $300-400, and youre wasting your money. I just sold an L98 long-block for $150.

Yea, dude that is too much. Does it have heads? For that price, it better have a fresh rebuild, with aftermarket aluminum heads. I just paid $400 for a honed Vortec long block (disassembled) with forged pistons. Granted I think I got a great deal, but hell, for $2500 you should be able to buy a worn-out 350 Iroc.

I danno if this would change any opinions but this engine is completely new. Exactually zero mileage.

Like I said, that "new" motor better come bolted to some sort of an F-body crossmember for $2500.

1) GM stock Iron Block (SDPC) 4 bolt main, 1 piece rear main seal =$599
2) 383 Stroker Kit (http://www.speedomotive.com/1piece_s...k_chevy_38.htm)
SILVOLITE HYPEREUTECTIC FLAT TOP PISTONS
COMP. RATIO: 58cc =12.-1, 64cc = 11.-1, 76cc =9.8-1,
TRW HYPEREUTECTIC DISH PISTONS
COMP: RATIO: 58cc =10.5-1, 64cc =9.6-1, 76cc =8.7-1
GM 5.7 RODS - STAGE 1 w/ARP WAVE LOCK BOLTS
NEW! 3.750 STROKE CRANK HI-NODULAR

Now add your choice of aluminum heads with the $1150 left over and you'll have a hi-po version of what he is offering you.

Note: I don't know anything about that stroker kit, but it's the first one I came across, except that it is a 1-piece rear main 350-383 stroker kit. Just using it as an example.
