how do i get the pan back on
how the hell do i get my oil pan back on once its in the car. ive already lifted the front of the engine.

how did you get it off in the first place? try reversing the same procedure otherwise you are facockted and you need to pull the engine with a hoist to get it back on.

I was in the same situation and man thats a pickle... lol.. I took off the oil pump, took off the pan.. but then getting the pan back in position wasnt gonna happen regardless of the oil pump being off or not.... I bent the pan a little bit man.. forced it in there..not exactly the best thing I could suggest but, worked for me

did you take the pan off before or after the engine was in?

heres your answer it's not that hard. You can do a search to that how i found the info.
Unbolt the motor mounts.
Jack the motor up (i used the balancer as my lifting point)
**watch out not to cruch the distributor when you tilt it**
Put something in where your mounts bolt on (I put some boards in there)
Let the motor back down.
Rotate the crank til the front counter weight is in the up position.
The pan should go in now.
really tight fit.
I don't remember if i forgot anything so let me say i'm sorry in advanced if i did.
