350 and Edlebrock Power Package ???'s

Hello, hopefully this is in the right board. I have been a member for a while and the members here have always been very helpful. I own a 92 25th anniversary white red stripes, the only way to go. Well about a year ago I ran across an early 2 peace rear main 350, it was rebuilt .30 over, new kb's, bearings the hole 9 yards, stock cam, heads. It's been great it pushed my car into the high 13's. But I want a little more. I was thinking about the edlelbrock rpm heads and cam. Does anybody have experience with this set up. Also does anybody know if angled plugs will clear the edelbrock TES headers? Thanks Chris

The Edelbrock heads are ok for cheap aluminum heads, but for not much more money you can get better ones. The cam is an inferior outdated design, you can get much better grinds for the same price.

Ya that's what I don't want to do I spend a bunch of money and not get any thing good. I know I have the confidence to swap the parts and getting it tuned, its just picking out the right ones the first time. I know a good set of heads and cam will really wake that motor up. What heads can I get for around the 1000 range that flow good. What about trick flow or afr's?

Are you really intent on aluminum heads, or would cast iron do?

Im goign with trick flow for my next combo. In my past mustang ventures they were a very good and COST efficient head. Best bang for your buck in my opinion.

I would like to stick with aluminum heads, I am really trying to lighting up the front end, tubular k-member, arms, there is about 5 wires under the hood, the way it should be. Alot of the mustang guys run trick flow on the 5.0's but how are they for a small block chevy. Just looking for opinions.

Well the flow numbers are comparable to AFR I THINK, and the cost isnt all that much. Plus they put out a 23° head that in my opinion is hella cheap. They also have a kit on summit right now, thats 1500 bucks and comes with a COMPLETE top end, minus induction.
