lt1 wiring?
ok guys i printed out all the wiring diagrams and the only problem i am running into is the harness was sent off and had a data cable installed so i can runn the lt1 edit . and they cut off the c100 conector and the othere one i think it is the . my question is i have read this post manny times and still am confused. the wires from the c100 of the lt1 harnes are the only thing i need to hook up right. minus the vats eliminator box. and i just plug in the vss plug to my 700r4 and the speedo should work right. I was also told by someone that i could use the lt1 tranny plug to hook up my torque lock up. i just need to know the 3 wires that match my 92 harness? i know that is pretty confusing and im sorry i am just trying to figure this all out. I know you all say it should be real easy but in trying to figure it out. thank sean

The thing in your hand in the first pic appears to be the ALDL connector and should be routed to the interior. Is that a 'Vette motor and harness? If so, the harness is probably unusable without major modification. From what I was told, the 'Vette harness is completely different than one from an F-body in that there is an extra module controlling some of the engine functions that are normally combined in an f-body and g-body. I could be wrong on this but I believe Ion at madz28.com told me it was this way. If not, most of the wires you need to connect to as far as gauges, crank, etc. are located in the c100 connector of YOUR '92. You have to find the corresponding connections on your Lt1 harness. I can't help on the trans questions.

BTW, in the other thread that you posted this question, towards the top in another post pf mine, you will find the colors and what they do at the c100 of your car. This should help you get started and then if you get stuck again....ask or reread that thread.

No problem....IMO, it's only hard when you look at all the wiring just laying there....once you start wiring what you know, whats left gets easier and easier
one thing I'll comment on, you won't simply be able to plug in your VSS for the 700r4 as far as I know. I know the T-5 signal is totally different. One of the solutions I've seen is running the Dakota Digital box to step up the signal. Z28r/cer would be the one to ask about that though. Since I was only planning on keeping the T-5 temporarily, I got a 17 tooth sprocket and pressed it onto the yoke of the transmission and mounted the speed sensor from an S-10 to a tab coming off the exhaust hanger. This allowed me to keep the T-5 speed sensor to run the speedo, and the new sensor to connect to the ECM. I'm switching to a T-56 this summer so I'll just hook up the speedo output from the ECM.
