Transmission: 5-speed
obd1 or obd2?

i have a 95 lt1 that I need a harness and computer for. which computer should i get, obd1 or obd2? will obd2 work with lt1 edit? i've seen some people swap obd2 for obd1, why would someone want to do this? thanks.

The 95 LT1 I have had the OBD2 connector, but is an OBD1 computer. The computers and harness that are OBD2 have a crank position sensor if I am not mistaken which started in 96 that my 95 does not have.

You are correct. ODB1 is the prefered set-up for Gen II motors. OBDII can be used but I hear OBDI is more tollerable and easier to tune when radical combos are put together.
