Here is a picture of the engine bay without the unflattering 305TBI. I have this feeling tomorrow is gonna be fun cleaning this one up. Click Here to see what I'm putting back in there.

Ah, the old "log chain wrapped around a wooden beam across the lift" routine...
(For me, in the beginning, it was the "log chain wrapped around a wooden beam across the rafters of the pole barn with a grain auger hoist" routine.)
Are you sure you don't want to get those headers coated while everything is still out of the car?
What are your plans for transmission longevity?

Hmmm... Transmission longetivity! Oh ya, my plan is to let this one blow up and then go for the 6spd. I really don't have an extra $200 to coat those headers. I'm thinking about using header wrap for now until i gather together some more money. Tomorrow it is time to rip out the computer and harness. I'll post up picks tomorrow night after work.

I really cannot wait until I get paid next week. Going to order myself a 3.70 posi carrier (AKA third member, pumpkin, etc) from These Guys. I'm open to any opinions related to this matter.
Other plans for the car are a set of BFG's before I go off to Suny Morrisville for college on the 18th.
I have actually ran into a light problem with the engine swap. Summit Racing sent me the impropper painless wiring harness. They gave me a MAP and not a MAF. I am more partial to MAF setup because the computer is not based on vacuum. With a MAP setup and a different than stock cam, engine vacuum would be different and cause the computer to think it is at WOT.
Also, I just recieved a prom burner in the mail the other day to change codes such as the injector constants and tune the computer a little better. The college I'm going to actually has a dyno there. (lucky me
