Engine: 5.7 LS1

engine rebuilt?

I purchased a 1987 Firebird 3 months ago. It has 165,000 miles. I have no background. The engine does not smoke, will turn the tires over and runs under 2000 rpms at 80 mph. Does this sound like a motor with 165,000 or do you suspect it might have been rebuilt.

This isn't the 70's anymore. why can't anyone get past that fact and realize engines actually last these days.
