383 Oil Pan Clearance Question

I just put together my 383. The machine shop did all the clearancing for me. But I noticed that my oil pan needed some clearancing because the rotating assembly (crank or rod) would hit the oil pan in the rear. My question is, how may have used the stock oil pan on a 383 and just knocked it out around the oil rails?

Or did you just buy a different oil pan for your 383?

Liberal application of the BFH on a stock pan worked for me.

I beeted my old pan and it worked well. But now since it all rusted to heck and stuff and I took it out, I added a MIloden stock replacement pan and it cleared with no BFH

for those of you that replaced the pan with an aftermarket one, did you have any issues with your pan now hitting the exhaust? I have SLP headers and the SLP y pipe comes very close to the crossmember and oil pan as it is now. I would really like to get a nice aftermarktet pan with a windage tray. I was unable to reuse my stock tray due to the rod ends hitting it.

to deal with clearance issues on my oil pan i talked to the summit tech guys, have them suggest a pan, they have aftermarket pans made specific for camaro exhaust so it will clearance properly.

4" stroker pan from Mildon will not work for the Y pipes that go next the K member. I used one but I plan on going LTs.
