v6 to v8 carbed. wire ?

v6 to v8 carbed. wire ?
no computer. need wire color for 87 2.8 switched 12vdc for hei dizzy.
out of main harness.
2-reds = 12v feed to fuse panel
1-purple = to starter
1-pink with blk stripe. this wire is switched from ignition switch but reads about 120 ohms to red wires. can i use this for my hei or is it for something else?

That sounds like it'll work, but not 100% sure.
Just checked Chiltons and there's a pink wire coming from the ignition switch. You should be able to access this wire under the dash. This is the same one I tapped into for two of my cars I converted to hei from points type distributor. It should work as long as it's only hot with the key on. I also read on another thread to put a 15 amp inline fuse on this wire. Sounds like a good idea.
