i wanna get rid of my 5.0 in my 92 rs for more pwr so i bought a 350 4 bolt main from a buddy but it is an older motor so it doesnt have the right heads but im gonna get new ones, any ways a want to but tpi instead of tbi what all do i have to do to the motor and/or computer to make it run right. I also plan to put a big cam i know ill need a chip for that

do you think i should just build the 350 up n leave it a carb set up an ditch the fricken computer all together but then prolly fail emissions for not havin the fuel injection

 

Yes. You WILL fail a legal emission testing in PA if you install a carb on that motor. That Carb will NEVER pass a SNIFFER test in PA on a '92.

I know NOTHING about setting up the computer. However there are guys on these boards that can get you where you need to go. I believe your best option is to use the current Intake System on the 350 Block and you can probably get the car to pass the SNIFFER test. It is unlikely that anyone will check the serial number on the block during a Sniffer Test but they will check for all the proper "ACCESORIES" bolted on to it. You'll need a couple parts like 350 knock sensor etc.
