84 Camaro to 85 Camaro swap

I have a 84 Camaro engine that I want to put into a 85 Camaro that does not have an engine will it be able to be done and do I have to also swap the computer from the 84 to 85 Camaro?

and another thing the 85 camaro has digital guages like the temp, gas and oil pressure will it work?

you should be able to swap engines without a problem as long as the 85 wasn't a v6 camaro! then some mods are in order! the computer i'm not sure but i would change the prom just in case! anyone else?

No, that doesn't help. T-tops were available with both V6 & V8 cars.

The 8th character of the VIN of the '88 would help.
