Battery relocation and charlcoal can gone?

Would it be possilbe to move the battery to the area where the spare goes and if so how? I plan on an LS1 swap, so do I need the charcoal can?. If I can do this, I want to build a twin intake CAI with the conical K&Ns to go behind the headlights under the hood. Would this work?

Hope that helps.
