Crossfire to TBI Swap
Crossfire to TBI Swap
I have a 1982 Trans Am with crossfire fuel injection. How difficult would it be to switch to the TBI system and what other factors do I have to look for to be switched out (ex. wiring harness, sensors, ecm..)?

That's about as close to a no-brainer as there would ever be.
CFI IS TBI. There's just 2 separate TBs instead of one.
The TBI sensors and stuff will all hook right up to the 82 ECM.
The old ECM however is crude and very limited. That's one of the many issues that plague CFI in general. I've never done it; but I understand that it's not too hard to put one of the more modern ECMs in it, for which all I believe you have to do, is re-pin the connector in a couple of places.
