i have a 89 350 tpi vette motor and i am putting it in my 85 firebird that is carbed. the swap isn't much at all but is there any special wiring that needs to be done to change it to fuel injection from carbed? is it a few wires that i plug in is it a whole new wiring system and electrical, does the computer have to be changed out as well. i need a wiring diagram if that is possible for myself and more for my dad because he is the brains of this project. any links or anything would help thankyou.

 

The easiest thing to do is buy a wiring harness from Painless or one of the other outfits that offer these setups. It will take a '165 computer if you use it with the mass airflow. The computer for speed density is a '727 or a '730.
Their are wiring diagrams available on the site or they are in the Haynes manual that is available at the local parts stores.
