it would be very cool if you could fit the whole All wheel drive system in the car.

You have a 4.3 turbo? Those motors are awesome... straight from the factory they were better than the 350... I am not sure if I would swap my 350 for it but I would never talk bad about that motor...

naw its not turbo lol.... those only came in the TTA, Syclones, and Typhoons... you just have the basic run of the mil 4.3 which isnt a bad thing.

the 4.3 is a great motor just a 350 with 2 less cylinders, but its not huge on hp... plenty of tq stock but still you have to toss the same trans as a 350 takes to use it so you might as well use a sbc instead of the 4.3 unless you do plan on putting a turbo in it or SC kits are now out for them... otherwise i would only do it if you already have it lying around and dont have the cash to upgrade to a sbc

I have a feeling he has no desire to put a sbc in his light truck... its a great work engine, good on gas etc. we however are getting off topic and there is no need to go off on a tangent on this.

It runs great but im having transmission problems iv'e replaced one allready.
I in the middle of rebuilding strong enough for that engine. Gas mileage sucks though.

The TTA, for your information, came with the 3.8 60 degree turbo v-6. The same engine as the Buick GN and GNX. (yeah i know its a couple year old post, but i hate misinformation )

so do i, the 3.8 was a 90* engine and is not quite the same as the buick motors. the shortblock is the same, but used different cylinder heads and i *believe* the exhaust manifolds were different as well...make sure you have all the facts straight before correcting
