Grounds and starter.....
Ok I just completed a swap and I need alittle help. Can I ground the same wires that were in the back of my iron heads to the back of my alluminum(sp) heads? Also, I have a ministarter and I need a picture or a good desription of wireing it up. I think I have it right but my car has nothing. No dome light nothing. I can turn the motor with the ol screwdriver on the starter way but when I try to the key...nada. I have the battery wire hooked up to the s side of the starter and the other four on the other side. Is there another wire that hooks up with the battery wire on the starter? Help if ya can.

The ground wire shouldn't see a difference between Iron and Aluminum, metal is metal. If it did see a difference then spark plugs wouldn't fire correctly on aluminum heads.
My mini (generic kind like the one Jegs and Summit sells) has a spade, and connector posts. I have a purple wire on the spade and the rest of the connectors on the single post.
Be sure you ran your battery to chassis and battery to motor grounds again.

Yes there is three posts, well two big and the small one. I hooked everything to the same post and it all works but thats just because they are ALL TOGETHER I know, Is this right?? The only thing to the second post is the small black wire that goes to the starter. What do ya think?
Yeah I see what your saying about the ground. I hooked them up the same way and they are working. Two to the back of the head and my battery is between the smog bracket and block.

I'm pretty sure that's correct... I'm fairly sure the purpose of the lower stud post is just to provide power connection for the drive.
If it's that big of worry to you call up jegs...

Press the buttom for Tech Line. Tell them you bought the Heavy Duty Hitachi Starter #555-10022. But you questions over the wiring and make them explain it. (JEGs Tech Line use to be toll-free, while Summit redirects you to a non 800# line)
And of course report back, so I can confirm I'm not losing my mind here.
