Killed Motor on Dyno

Not sure if the dyno is what caused the problem or not. But I recently bought a 97' LT1 T56 six speed 37k miles on it. I put some headers and did some prom tuning, then had my tech guy put it on the engine dyno. It was about to peak but then shot some oil out the side of the motor near the motor mount. Although not totally unsuccesful it made 321hp before it shot oil. Immediately after this we ordered a new short block, complete with; pistons, rods, crank, cam etc..... So now were just putting the intake, heads, and wiring on the new short block. The short block should be in our shop tommorrow morning. We should make more with the new short block being that it is brand new. PIA but Im glad it happened on the engine dyno and not when I was on the road.

Ok so my only question is here is, I have a brand new bottom end and internals so, what is the max nitrous I can run on this motor if I used it atleast once a week. And what would you guys suggest ???

forged shortblock? arp bolts throughout? clearances setup for nitrous, ring gap opened up?

if no to this then 100-150 shot, but life may be shortened, if setup for nitrous then 200+ but expect teardowns and refreshes during the winter

Were using ARP bolts throughout the whole motor. Its coming with standard fasteners but were going to tear it down and use ARP bolts and studs. As for clearances, were using the factory specs. So I should be able to use 100 shot once in awhile without much trouble ??

I know of guys that ran 175 shots on stock LT1's with no problems at all, both motors still running strong, and one was even a daily driver until he wanted something faster.
