Engine Pull Question

This weekend I spent working on pulling the engine out of my 84 computer carb'd Z-28, and have a question. I'm almost ready to lift the engine up and out. I only have to finish removing the motor mount bolts and disconnecting the wire harness at the rear of the heads/block.

Can the wire harness be unbolted at the back of the heads/engine block easier if the engine is first lifted up a couple of inches and moved forward with the engine hoist?

Assuming the wireharness has enough slack in the right direction, I believe this would give me more clearance to get between the engine and firewall to get at those harness bolts. Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes you can lift and move the engine forward to get to the grund bolts on the back of the heads. I did the same thing on my 86Z with vin H.
