Yeah baby fired it up today!
I did not create a thread about the swap, figured I would after it was done.
Well today was that fatefull day...
After cutting my own wires and fighting to get #6 "clicked" on forever, I checked the fluids and turned the key...
Wha, wha, Chuga... ROAR to life.
Open shorties rumblin... and I am estatic... Specially when I hear the neighbor scream!
Well it is finally done.
The HSR equipped 383 is in.
I of course found the inevitable little things that you can only find after you get it running.
I have a injector o ring that is leaking a little, need to pull 2-3 intake bolts and put thread sealer on them, same for the thermo bolts.
Also need to buy some 1/4" hose for brake booster and PVC valve. Not to mention put the hood back on...
Now just need to get driveshaft back in, and hang the magnaflow exhaust...
then it is tuning time!
Once I get some more cash and swap on AFR200's I am hoping for around 420-430hp and damn close to or maybe a little over 500 Ft Lbs.
pics to be added tomarrow...

woohoo FAQ works for me! (looked up how to do pic's)
and I really think this will be fine under the stock hood.
Iff you look at the last pic you can see that it is barely above the fender line. That is after you notice that it is still angled and can see the Passanger side fender.
I also flipped the intake boot screw bolt so it is flatter there as well.
I got the hood on today and did not notice any disturbance's on the Cardboard I had taped to the intake/over TB...
Looks like that 1/4" shave did the trick!

Looks really nice. What heads are you using? I noticed you still have the stock valve covers.
