86 Firebird SE
Hey,
I just got my dads old '86 Firebird SE with a 305, and I was wondering what I should do to it? I kinda inherited it since he moved to the city, and I am just not sure what to do. I want to make it faster obviously, but do not have too much money to spend on it. I think he said he would give me like $5,000 to fix it up. The engine in it is good right now, just hasn't been used too much. Growing up, this car was most usually in the driveway, its running pretty good right now, drove from Baltimore to DC with no problems. (about 55 miles). After it hadn't been started for like 5 years. Let me know what you guys think.

check out the FAQ forum, for good first mods, like subframe connectors, and exhaust work.
I think since you just drove it 50 miles, after sitting for 5 years, it's a good time for a full tune up and fluid change. Belts and hoses probably too.
