dropping the engine in (header clearance questions
i have hooker shorty headers and im aboutt to drop my new engine in but can i bolt the headers up and drop the engine in with them or not?

Yes you can drop it in fine... I use hooker 2055's and drop it in no problem. Took ten minuted to drop it on mounts and pushed the bolts through.
All you have to do is keep an eye on the k-member and the ball flanges. Just a little finese and you will be okay

I dropped in my 350 without headers. They are not hedmen though. I had to un bolt the right motor mount, and lift the engine slightly to get the right side on. Had to do the same for the left side. Tight fit..

i jack up the rear, lower the front and shoe horn everything in accessories and all. You might have to get someone to push on side of the motor to clearance something but it really shouldnt be more than a 10 minute deal
