LO5 Donor List
Alright I'd like to start this thread for future reference. It will be important to me and I'm sure many others looking to do this swap. Basically I am looking to compile a list of cars/trucks that could contain a 5.7L LO5 engine. Split your listings between Car and truck and list whether its flat cam or roller.

Car: 1983 G20 Chevy
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 4L60
Axle/Gears: 14 bolt with 3.07 gears
Roller-
G20/G30 Van (good possibility its 4 bolt main and roller)
Caprice, Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, Olds Custom Cruiser, Buick Roadmaster
Flat Tappet-
G10 Van
P30 Step Van
1/2 ton through 1 ton truck/suburban/SUV
Hummer H1
Some school buses, RVs, and city Dump trucks came with a very HD version of the L05. It comes with a whacky governed TBI, different injector pod, different style injectors, etc.

Car: 93 GM300 platforms
Engine: LO3, LO5
Transmission: MD8 x2
LO5 TBI use:
Caprice: 1989-1993 copcar 9C1 version only; also used as an optional engine in the 1993 LTZ Caprice
Buick Roadmaster sedan & wagon: 1991-1993 as an optional engine (305 std)
Olds Custom Cruiser wagon: 1991-1992 as an optional engine
IIRC the 1993 Cad Fleetwood had it as an optional engine in 1993, or possibly 1992-1993.
Note: the copcar versions had a hotter cam (borrowed from the Fcar, most usually the 773 cam found in the L98), larger injectors, and in 92-93 a better exhaust. These were only used in the Caprice 9C1 police package, and they were rated at 190 to 205 fwhp depending on the year.
All other passenger car LO5s are the 180 fwhp 300 fwftlbs version using the peanut cam from the LO3 and smaller injectors.
Fast355 referred to the various truck/van versions of the LO5. Most used flat tappet cam, and all had less restrictive exhausts than the cars. The engine power was similar to the copcar LO5 (up to 210 fwhp), gaining by the better exhaust and usually not having to use as warm a cam. HTH.
