timing?
I was thumbing through the Haynes manual the other day and maybe I overlooked but what would be the timing for an 84z h.o. carbed, non electronic, no emissions and nothing radical in regards to big cam, etc. Its still a 305 machined to .30, 600cfm edelbrock, edelbrock cam lifters, etc. all basically stock grind.

36 degrees BTDC max mechanical advance (whatever RPMs that happens at) with the vacuum disconnected and plugged.
Or, set it at 12 degrees BTDC at idle with the vacuum advance disconnected and plugged.
Or, set it at 12 degrees BTDC at idle with the vacuum advance disconnected and plugged.
