new 350 swap...Spark plugs misfiring?
all right folks. i bought my RS in tennesee. i new nothing about the car except for the fact that it need a new motor.
OK so i drop a 350cid 300+hp motor in.
heres the delemma:
first gear no problems
second gear no problems
third gear......i sometimes get this misfiring noise and the RPMS drop DRAStically to the point where the car might just cut off. Then the engine returns to normal operation.
the motor shakes like hell when this happens.
i have a brand newIN-tank pump but its for the old 305.
could this pump be the culprit of starving my RS?
OR could the timing be off?
electrical?
im lost i appreciate all the help......

Did you put in a new fuel filter and pick-up sock when you did the pump?
Putting a fuel pressure gage on it and monitoring during the condition is the best approach to troubleshooting.
