I cant find any thread that really describes what you have to do in the search. I just wanted to know if I got a 350 i currently got a 305 what i would have to replace besides the engine

I am currently installing a 350 crate motor into a 88 camaro that had a 305 TBI.
- I had to change the flexplate. The one from the 305 wouldn't bolt to the crankshaft, and the one from the 350 (was in a truck), would not bolt to the camaro tranny. I bought one from a local auto parts store for $28.00.
- I wanted to use the camaro's TBI, so I used the intake from the 305. The problem here was that the later model 305 heads had the inside intake bolt taps drilled straight up and down, and the 350 is at an angle. I had to elongate the inside bolt holes on the 305 intake to make it work.
- The oil dipstick is one the passenger side on a 305. The oil dipstick will not fit from the 350 with the 305 exhaust manifod. I will try and use the one from my truck. If the pipe that bolts to the exhaust manifold won't bolt up, I might have to take it to a muffler shop to have the a new pipe made up.
