Install engine with TPI intake, accessories, in place or not?
Hi guys,
Does anyone have any stong opinions on whether the TPI Itake should be installed on the engine when it's out of the car? Or once it's back in?
How about the distributor? Front accessories like water pump etc?
Thanks,

I'd install the TPI and the distributor before you put the engine in. I wouldn't put the dist cap on until after it's bolted in. I'd leave the starter off and the front acessories........with the exception of the water pump.....if it's a manual trans, leave the bellhousing on, but not the gearbox.........that can be put on later from underneath..........that's been my lessons learned on the last few swaps.........others may have different preferences..........
