Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
LS1 heads won't fit.

As far as heads, it doesn't matter whether the cam is a roller or not.

If you're short on cash, better to wait awhile, save up a bit, and do it when you can actually afford it. Beats starting a project and being unable to finish it because something unexpected happened; and then be stuck with a dysfunctional POS of some kind because you don't have the resources to deal with it. In other words, scrape up some money VOLUTNARILY while the car STILL WORKS, instead of being FORCED to scrape up some money while the car IS DISABLED.

An '87 TA 350 would have had a roller lifter cam from the factory. If you have a 350 out of an '87 TA and it has a flat tappet cam, either the cam or the engine was changed some time or another.

The heads of an '87 TA 350 have good performance potential. Do-it-yourself porting, aftermarket valve springs, and pinned or screw-in rocker studs will support a lot of power when properly matched with intake, cam, and exhaust.

The head casting #'s are under the valve covers between rockers. It would be a good idea to get the # off of each head.

While you're at it, the block casting # is behind the driver's side head, on top of the bell housing mount casting.

Get both, go to www.mortec.com, post here.
